A marketer, entrepreneur, and lifelong Houstonian sharing what I’ve learned.
I was born in New York and raised in Houston, Texas. My family immigrated from Mexico, and growing up, I learned a lot from watching my parents work hard, build a life, and figure things out along the way.
Sports were a big part of my childhood, especially soccer. Interestingly, I always enjoyed the training just as much as the games. Looking back, I think that says a lot about how I approach things today. I enjoy the process of building something, figuring out what works, and getting better along the way.
I graduated from the University of Houston’s Bauer School of Business with a degree in Management Information Systems.
I didn’t exactly follow the career path my degree suggested.
One of the classes I took involved building a website for a pretend client. That project gave me an idea: if this is how websites are built for businesses, maybe I could actually do this for real businesses.
I gave it a shot.
There were some early successes, plenty of mistakes, and a lot I didn’t know yet. Eventually, those experiences led me through a number of marketing jobs and ultimately toward starting my own company.
Eventually, I started Symphony Advertising, a marketing company focused primarily on helping service businesses grow through the internet.
Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of businesses with areas such as web design, local SEO, and Google Ads.
But working closely with business owners taught me something important:
Getting more leads isn’t always the biggest problem.
More leads can create entirely new problems.
Those questions pushed me to think beyond marketing.
Today, business strategy and consulting are also part of the work we do through Symphony Advertising.
My work sits somewhere between marketing, business, and the messy reality of actually running a company.
I’m interested in what happens after the marketing works.
I’m also using this website to document some of the things I’m learning along the way.
This website is my personal home on the internet.
I’ll use it to share things I’m thinking about, lessons from running a business, marketing ideas, experiences from working with clients, and probably a few things that have nothing to do with business.
Some of those ideas will eventually come from the videos I publish on social media.
If you found me through TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube, this is where you can find more of my work in one place.
Symphony Advertising was founded in 2020 to help service businesses grow through better marketing, strategy, and consulting.
Today, Symphony has served 600+ businesses and brings more than 10 years of marketing experience to the businesses it works with.
Whether you have a question, want to say hello, or want to talk about working together, I’d be happy to hear from you.
