Hi, I'm Cesar!
I’m Cesar Gil. I run Symphony Advertising, a Houston marketing agency I started in 2020 and somehow turned into a team of nine.
We do Google Ads, local SEO, and websites for local service businesses. Roofers, landscapers, detailers, pool companies. The kind of businesses that actually keep a city running. If you want the receipts, here’s what our clients say and some of the results.
Before that: born in New York, raised in Houston, parents immigrated from Mexico and are probably the best parents of all time. Played a lot of soccer, and weirdly liked the training as much as the games.
I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Management Information Systems, which I did nothing with. Except one project management class where we built a fake website for a fake client. Figured I’d try it on real ones. Took a few years and a lot of odd marketing jobs before that actually worked.
These days I write about what running an agency actually looks like. Pricing, hiring, the numbers, the parts nobody posts about. Most of it shows up here first.
This site exists because there’s another Cesar Gil in Houston who used to outrank me. We’re good now.
